Rishtazone ("Rishtazone", "we", "us") is a matrimonial introduction service that helps people and their families find a suitable marriage partner. This policy explains what information we collect through the Rishtazone mobile app and website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By creating an account you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Account information
- Name, email address and mobile number.
- Password — stored only as a secure cryptographic hash, never in plain text.
Profile information (visible to other members)
- Profile photos you upload.
- Date of birth / age, gender and marital status.
- Education, profession, height, personality, interests, religion/community details, city and country, and the free-text description you write.
- Whether the profile is created for yourself or a family member you are responsible for.
Verification information
- A verification photo, captured when you verify a profile.
- Your precise device location (GPS) captured at the moment of verification, used to confirm profile authenticity and power distance-based matching.
Activity and communications
- Likes, profile views, swipes and match requests.
- Messages you exchange with your matches. Chats are retained so we can act on reports of abuse and keep the community safe.
- Reports you make about other members, blocks, and support tickets you open.
- Your acceptance of our community agreement (the "I promise to" screen), recorded with the date, time, app version and device for audit purposes.
Purchases
- Subscription status and store receipts when you buy Premium through Google Play or the Apple App Store. Payments are processed entirely by Google or Apple — we never see or store your card details.
Device and technical data
- Device identifier, device model, IP address and app version.
- A push-notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can deliver notifications.
2. How we use your information
- Matchmaking: showing your profile to other members and showing you profiles that match your preferences, including by distance.
- Communication: delivering chat messages, match requests and push notifications.
- Safety and moderation: verifying profiles, reviewing reported chats, blocking members who break the rules, and keeping audit records (including agreement acceptances and deleted-account snapshots) to prevent abuse and fraud.
- Premium: validating store receipts and unlocking paid features.
- Support: answering tickets and account requests.
- Legal compliance: complying with applicable law and lawful requests.
3. What other members can see
Your profile (photos, age, location city/area, and the profile details listed above) is visible to other registered members. Your exact GPS coordinates are never shown — other members see only an approximate distance. Your email, mobile number and password are never visible to other members.
4. Who we share information with
- Other members — your profile information, as described above.
- Service providers — Google Firebase (push notifications), Google Play and Apple App Store (billing), and our hosting providers. They process data only on our instructions.
- Law enforcement — when required by law or to protect the safety of our members.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party advertising.
5. Data retention and deletion
We keep your information while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account at any time from Menu → Delete Account inside the app (see How to delete your account). When you delete your account, your profiles, photos and conversations are removed from the service. A limited audit snapshot may be retained for a period after deletion strictly for fraud prevention, safety investigations and legal compliance, then erased.
6. Security
- All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with TLS (HTTPS).
- Passwords are stored as salted cryptographic hashes.
- Login tokens are kept in the platform's secure storage (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain).
- Profile images are served only to authenticated members, and the app blocks screenshots and screen recording on profile and chat screens.
7. App permissions we request
- Camera / Photos: to take or choose profile pictures and the verification photo.
- Location: to verify profiles and show matches near you.
- Notifications: to tell you about new likes, match requests and messages.
You can decline or revoke any permission in your device settings; related features may stop working but the rest of the app remains usable.
8. Age policy
Rishtazone is strictly for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and accounts found to belong to minors are removed. See our Child Safety Standards.
9. International users
Our servers may be located in a different country than you. By using Rishtazone you consent to your information being transferred to and processed in the countries where we operate, always under the protections described in this policy.
10. Your rights
- Review and correct your account details in Menu → Edit Account and your profiles in the app.
- Delete your account and data as described above.
- Contact us about any privacy question or request — we respond to every request.
11. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we will update this page and notify you in the app before the changes take effect.
